Nothing But MOTIV

Just got my Primal Impulse drilled yesterday and I used it tonight for the first time in league. 726 right out of the gate, I can't believe how it hits the pocket! It goes long and makes a move toward the pocket like nothing I have thrown before, I'm looking forward to having nothing but Motiv in my arsenal and slowly but surely I'm getting there. I had at least 5 people ask me tonight what the heck are you throwing and I was more than happy to tell them, Nothing but Motiv from here out. My son is going to order one tomorrow.

MOTIV has done it again

I drill up a Raptor last Saturday and straight out of the box - 248, 258, 269! That was my first set all summer.  I took a break, but now I am ready for the fall.  The 269 game started with strikes for the front 9! Wow - MOTIV has done it again.  Other companies are playing for 2nd place.

300 Game out of the box!

I never contact a ball company to give them feedback on their equipment, but I felt I needed to contact you because the Raptor P7 is one of the strongest balls, if not the best, that I have ever bowled with.  Out of the box I bowled a 300 game and an 821 series!  In fact, I had a customer watching me and he told me to cancel his other ball order and get him a Raptor P7 instead.  I’m sure I’ll be selling a ton of Raptors in my pro shop!”

Best Ball I've Ever Thrown

I just got back from Nationals and I bowled in the 40 frame tournament held at Starlight lanes and shot a 1122, but the real news is I hit the Big Lucas and Big Whammy for a total of $4905.00. I was using my new Primal. I bowled this on April 13^th and prior to that On April 11^th in league in Greeley Colorado I shot a 268, 300, 269, 837 series with the Primal.

I am still the only one at that house using Motiv Equipment. After finishing the 40 frame I bowled nationals and bowled my second highest national total with a 610 in team, 719 in doubles and a 619 in singles. I used just the Primal on all three conditions, league, 40 frame and nationals and played numerous shots and the primal hit hard either going straight up the lanes and across them. This is the best ball I have ever thrown and it will continue to be the first ball out my bag regardless of the condition. Thanks Motiv for making such I great ball.

Unbelievable Versatility

I have been hooked on MOTIV since Novemer 22^nd 2010. That day was the first time I ever threw a MOTIV ball. I drilled the MOTIV SR2 and proceeded to shoot 279, 300 and 300 for and 879 series. I was so taken back by the performance of that ball. The consistency that the SR2 has when going from house to house is astonishing. I signed with MOTIV in January of 2011 and have been averaging 240+ in 2 leagues. I am a very high rev rate player and the ease that I can got from ball to ball when lanes do change is amazing. I have never had this in my 30 yrs of bowling, the way the pieces of equipment fit together, really works. This USBC season I have had (7) 800 series, 5 since switching to MOTIV and (5) 300 games since switching as well. I have bowled in many tournaments with numerous top 20 and top 10 finishes as well as leading qualifying squads in various events. I am very excited to be a part of MOTIV right now, MOTIV is heading in the right directions in many areas. I would recommend MOTIV to any type of player.

MOTIV MANIA

We have MOTIV Mania going on in Merritt Island , FL. I received the Primal ball on monday and drilled it for demo purposes. On wednesday, a junior bowler came in and asked if he could try it, as he usually does. The span is too long and the fingers too big, however, he goes out on the lanes prebowling for his league.  We have a standing bet that if he (Max Miller age 13) shoots a 300, I will give him a ball. He proceeds to shoot 290,239.  At this point he comes in the shop and asks if 800 also will win the bet. I say sure. He starts the last game with the front nine then leaves the 3,4,6,10 in the tenth. He has to make it to shoot 800, and does for 275 - 804 series! He is now the proud owner of a Primal.  It's a great story and his enthusiasm will sell many a Motiv.

Cruel C51 Is Amazing

I am 52 years old and have never had an experience with any bowling ball as I have had with the Motiv Cruel C51. I am normally averaging in all my leagues in the low to mid 190’s. but since purchasing your equipment, I am currently averaging 212, including the last 8 weeks of the winter league when I purchase the Cruel, and the first 5 weeks of the summer league. My confidence level has never been higher!!! I bowled my first 700 series and now have 3!!! I will let you know when I bowl my first 300 game, it WILL happen. Motiv is simply amazing. Thanks!!

Holy Buckets!

 After drilling up a Cruel C51 for a customer, I was watching him throw it during practice.  I had to run a machine call, and after climbing down from lane 5, I got no further than lane 6 when I heard the loudest POP and CRASH of pins I have ever heard in my 20+ years behind the pins.  My right ear was slightly ringing!  My thought was that it must be this guy's new Cruel...and sure enough.  Holy Buckets!

Scratch Tournament Win

This past weekend I took the opportunity to lace up the shoes and take to the lanes once more.  I competed in a regional-based scratch tournament in Columbia, SC.  The tournament was on the PBA Cheetah pattern so it was time to bring the striking game!  I started the tournament with the new QZ2 and had a strong line to pocket.  The ball motion was super smooth off the break point and helped me maximize my pin carry by controlling my entry angle.  After the 6 games of qualifying, I was +101 going into the match play portion of the tournament.  At this point the QZ2 was reading the lanes earlier than I needed and causing the ball to enter high so I quickly made the switch to the RECON.  This ball allowed me to pick up where the QZ2 left off.  My entry angle returned as did my pin carry.  I threw the last 5 in a row to edge out the win in the round of 4 and then moved to the championship match and never looked back.  Thanks MOTIV for giving me the tools to succeed and a special thanks to Amber for making it fun!

I Give the Cruel an "A" Rating

I used the Cruel in league and had the front 16 with it!!! Struck 22 out of 24 shots in the first 2 games! The hitting power of this ball was one of the first things I noticed.  I would have to give it an "A" based on overall performance.  It will be the first ball out of my bag for sure!

First 300 Game!

I wanted you to know that I drilled up a MOTIV Cruel C51 for a customer last night.  They rolled their first 300 on just the second game out of the box!!!  Needless to say, I have a very happy customer and a new MOTIV fan.

The Cruel Turns Heads!

Second week of league and the Cruel C51 is already turning heads...I have thrown nothing but Cruels in league so far and in the 2nd week it paid off...first game of th night was a 300!!!  Then followed that up with 258 and 202 for a 760 series!  Thank you MOTIV for producing another winner.

My First 300

Just thought I would let you know that I had a 300 game last night with my Cruel C51.  I have been bowling at my home centre for 22 years and that magical 300 has always evaded me. I've been close on many occasions, but never quite made it.  This is now my 7th 300 and hopefully the first of many with my new Motiv gear.  I am also the first woman to have a 300 at Worthing, which makes it extra special.

We took the team lead and it is a record!. That was the most nervous and most excited I have ever been bowling team event.  I started out using the TX1 standing 13 playing 6 board and when that went away in the middle of the second game I jumped to 30 board with my feet and played 15 and it was a great guess. Struck out the 8th, 9th and 10th frame.  I changed balls to the SR2 and it had the best look out of any ball I brought there.  What a great trip! I sure hope we hold on get MOTIV an eagle under the belt.

Strong Finish in South PBA Regional

I recently returned from competing at the South PBA Regional in Midlothian, VA and was the only participant throwing MOTIV brand equipment.  From the start of the tournament, the balls were strong.  We bowled on the scorpion pattern and while several bowlers were struggling, I managed to find a line that produced.  I started out with a box surface SR2 with a 4 ¾ pin from pap and the ball set up beautifully down lane and gave a very consistent hard backend movement that was more than reliable.  When the lanes began to transition in game 4, I moved to the Red QZ1 box finish with a 5 ½ pin from pap and continued on the same line the SR2 left off with.  I finished the qualifying round in 12^th and the top 16 advanced to match play.  On Sunday, I started match play with the SR2 and all but ran over my first round opponent.  The SR2 held up for 2 games and then I finished with the Red QZ1 and a nice score of 273 to advance to round of 8.  My day ended at the round of 8 with an 8^th place finish, but this was an eye opener for many who watched and were hesitant about MOTIV.  This line of balls is as strong as any I’ve ever thrown.  I bowl exclusively with MOTIV when competing in the South Region PBA events and I can tell you from experience, this line of equipment is definitely PBA STRONG!!!

Won Grand Rapids Classic

I recently won the Grand Rapids Bowling Classic, or as I like to call it, the King of the Hill. The tournament had a decent turn out of 56 bowlers and after the first three games of qualifying the cut score was low at 606.  I was able to get things going after starting slowly with a clean 208 game.  I finished with 269 and 215 to qualify second with 692.  This put me only 9 pins behind the leader.  The second block of games I started out quickly with 268 and follow up with 236 and took the lead by 27 pins.  The final set I stayed on course and shot 238 and 257 to win by 91 pins, averaging 241.5 over the seven games. 

Aside from 3 or 4 frames in game one where I used the SR2, my ball of choice for the tournament was the Purple QZ1 Quadfire.  This ball gave such an awesome reaction down lane I wish I could have filmed it.  This ball was made for this condition.  The ball has a 35 degree drilling, with a 30 degree VAL and a four inch pin.  It provided me with a predictable reaction and a very clean arcing motion on the back part of the lane.  I had the right ball in my hand at the right time!

804 Series Straight Out of the box

I drilled up my new SR2 with a 4" x 3 3/4" pin down layout and left it at box finish.  I took it down to the lanes and the first shot was strong, but smooth.  It got through the heads with ease and continued strong through the pocket!  Well, the first game was 299.  Second was 258 and third was 247 - 804 first series out of the box.  This ball is a must have!!  Thank you MOTIV for producing such a great product!

Best Score of My Life

Hey, I wanted to let you know I ordered my wife Natalie a QZ1 the other day and drilled it up for her. She is a 150 average bowler and this year I have been working with her some. Last night she had a 565 series and a 244 game her highest game and series of her life! It was with the QZ1!

PBA Sr Tournament Success

I competed in the PBA Sr. Regional this past weekend in Brookville, PA.  They had their Cheetah-type pattern out.  I mainly used a GT1 with pin under ring finger, cg @50 degrees, and shined up.  It worked awesome!  Also used my SX1 w/pin above my bridge, cg @ 45 degrees.  After starting +70 for the first 4 games of qualifying, I made some bad shots and moves the next 3  games that brought me down to +17 w/one qualifying game to go.  Got lines up with the GT1 and threw the front 10 to finish 288 and make the finals.  Next day, there was a little more backend reaction so I went with the GT1.  Beat the top qualifier, 3 games to 1.  Next match, was best of 3.  Lost first game, doubled in 9th & 10th to win the second game, and needed a double in the 10th to win the match in the 3rd game.  Buried the first one and got the strike, then buried the second one but left a ringing 10-pin.  Oh well!!   GT1 and SX1 performed excellently!   My Motiv stuff was smooth off the pattern and reacted very well.    

I have been converted by the GT1

I am 60 yrs old and a PBA Seniors member. I do my homework on new equipment and the GT1 intrigued me . I read a few articles and when the PBA cleared it for use in tournaments, I figured I would give it a shot. 

I am a 217 average bowler and the conditions I shoot on are either dry, spotty or nonexistent, but over the years and my experiences, I have learned to adjust. The first night I pulled my GT1 out of the box just drilled with no games on it and the first pitch, I was impressed. I had it drilled with the leverage layout with the high track pin for max hook. Well the first game was adjusting, and shot a 246 (7 in a row with 2 8 pins), and then the second game the shot broke down fast and I moved left (right hander) about 5 boards and went 5 and 5 and shot a 247, third game was a tester. All the oil was gone. I was forced up against the ball return, and managed a 234. SO a 727 right out of the box with no adjustment to the ball. I was playing from 15 to 8 and back to start and  25 to 5 and back with some hand adjustment. Needless to say I caused a lot of conversation that evening, and I was in our pots and the GT1 paid for it's self 5 times over with its first 3 games. Great return on my investment.

The GT1 is strong

I just finished drilling the MOTIV GT1 and can only say one thing for certain....that ball is strong! First game off the press the ball exploded through the rack leaving a 9-pin, followed by 10 strikes in a row and then leaving another 9-pin. I finished that game short of 300 but not because of a lack of power. I went on to finish with a strong 700 series that night. The equipment has a smooth roll with aggression on the backends that I have not encountered in a long time. Thanks MOTIV and I look forward to the next release. 

Winning the iron man

I just won the Iron Man Tournament with MOTIV.  We bowl 12 games on 3 different conditions.  The condition were the Shark, Cheetah, and the Fort Wayne Shootout shot.  The first condition we bowled on was the shark and if there is a condition I don't score as well on it is the shark...but that was before I used the motiv equipment.  My scores were 215, 225, 227, and 245.  I threw the GT1 with the leverage drilling the first 3 games but I started to get some carry down and then I threw the GT1 with the pin under my fingers and it worked great the 4th games.  I was 3rd after the shark and I was only 50 pins behind the leader.  The next condition was the cheetah and this is my best pattern.  I used the SX1 all for games and this ball works so good on short patterns.  I shot 244, 240, 230, 238.  I went from 3rd to second and I was only 20 pins behind the leader.  I knew that I just wanted to get close to the leader because he threw the ball well but he has never bowled on the shoot out shot.  It is a tight and long pattern and you need to be accurate.  I used the TR2 with the pin under the fingers and out of the box finish.  I shot 208, 224, 212, and 210.  The leader shot 140, 196, 182, 205.  I was the tournament by 85 pins.  GET MOTIVATED!!!!!

I am very MOTIVated

WOW is all I can say.  I drilled the TR2 to use in a regional in Texas...threw it 5 or 6 times to make sure it fit good.  I used the TR2 in practice and had a great reaction, so I decided to give it a go.  I started with the front ten, one solid nine pin later - 289.  Made a move in the first frame the second game and starting striking again.  Long story short - I ended the night with 763.  Came back to bowl Thursday night mens league and the first game was 300!  I finished off the night with a 247 and 256 for a fine 803 series.  All I can say is now I am very MOTIVated!

10 Boards More Than Anything Else in The Bag

I just wanted to say how pleased my customers are with thier motiv equipment. I drilled up a TR2 for one of my high school bowlers who bowls a lot of MJM tournaments. He used it on a 46 foot pattern a couple weeks ago said it was about ten more boards than anything else in his bag! One of my premiere leftys - Jammie Leece - shot a very nice 813 with his GT1 recently with games of 278 256 and 279.  Keep up the good work.  I am looking forward to the new SR2 release.  Thanks again for everything.

Most Consistent Ball Ever!

Second week of bowling with my GT1 brought me a nice surprise!  First game I tossed was a 237.  Second game, while not really paying attention until after I shot it, was a 237.  Third game,  again not trying for it, 237!  Great triplicate, and my first one!  1^st week in league for the fall season, 2 leagues on the same night, 277 shot in first the league and a 278 shot in the second.  Second week, 708 in first league and 706 in the second.  My average has moved from 210-214 last year to 226 summer (ending with Motiv) to the 230’s to start this fall!  Most consistent ball I have had in my hands in a long time!  Keep them coming Motiv!

High Roller Win

I just won the High Roller Tournament (Over 50 Division) using my new MOTIV TX1. I literally got the ball drilled and put in my hands the day before leaving town. I started bowling in the tournament using some of my other equipment and had some success on fresh oil, but had difficulty controlling the breakpoint as the lanes broke down. This is when I decided to try my new TX1. It gave much better length and a controlled arc after the breakpoint. It smoothed out over under for me and carried very well on light pocket hits.

After the first day, I used the TX1 almost exclusively for the rest of the week. I qualified for match play in all three High Roller tournaments and cashed in on some other events also. I am very impressed with my MOTIV TX1 and look forward to trying new equipment from MOTIV.

Back to back 300 games

I have had a great season of bowling. This was our last week and it was roll off &  doubles on Wednesday. My goal for the night was to have a good time before nationals. Well, I had a good time. With less than two games on the MOTIV GT1 it was 12 strikes in a row! This 300 game was surreal. I have never used a ball less than 2 games and shot 300. This was quite unexpected. Interestingly, the story gets even better.

I am the 5th woman on Thursday and they needed me to bowl. It was roll off & doubles night again. We have 2 divisions, so we were rolling off for the division championship & the over all championship. The roll off is 2 games and we were 147 pins down after the first. I was lost. I bowled my worst game of the season. At this point, I said to the people with me, "What should I do?" They handed me the MOTIV SX1 and the strikes began. I could not believe it. Is it possible to bowl a 300 game two days in a row? Yes! There it was - another 300! The bowlers around me were saying, "What WAS that ball you were throwing?". Well, if they had not heard of MOTIV before, they have now.

Love Motiv

I was very intrigued when I heard about your new bowling ball technology. I just had to try your equipment out. I was bowling in our City Tournament and not doing very well. So, reluctantly, I switched to my MOTIV SX-1. It was only my 4th game with the ball. I started with the ball in the 10th frame and struck out. My next game was a 300! I was surprised, to say the least, since I never bowl well with a ball until I at least get 9 to 12 games on it. Thanks very much.

I have drilled several balls for customers and all anyone tells me after they throw the MOTIV is that they LOVE the ball. One person won a local tournament one day after purchase. Another person won High School Regional Singles two days after purchase. And one more person threw a 300 in his third game with the ball in league. So you can see why they all LOVE MOTIV.
